Back to the team
I was also a big fan of geography and studied it at a university level at ELTE. It was only during my second year at university that I became interested in programming. I learned a bit of Python, but I didn't take it seriously back then. It was just a fun distraction from day-to-day studying and broke the monotony of boring everyday life. I ended up finishing university right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, and as geography was a subject that was meant to be spent outdoors and traveling, there were minimal opportunities in my profession. So, being in a global lockdown and stuck inside, I again turned back to programming. This time I had a clear goal in mind: I wanted to become a professional frontend developer. I accomplished that nine months later when I joined Scriptide as a junior front-end developer.
Technical interests / focus:
I started to work on a Vue-based project near the beginning of my career, and while I had very limited experience with Vue before, I quickly found that I had a knack for picking it up and started to understand it so fast. I loved the learning and design process, so much so that I also started to learn other frameworks, like React, React Native, and NestJS.
Hobbies / free time activities:
In my free time, I’m a video game and book nerd. It’s so nice to relax after a long day and enjoy the worlds and characters that other people have created. I love that notion. But, I do like to get outside by spending time with my friends, working out, and playing sports.
Why do you like working at Scriptide:
I like the office's fun atmosphere, and everyone’s always eager to help if I ever get stuck on something. It’s a nurturing environment; everyone is just learning and building and creating beautiful things all the time! It’s a pleasure to be a part of this movement.
